Positive Body Language Tells the Tale |

It happens all the time. You’ve worked a demanding week, and you and your buddies enter into a great lounge or club. You sit down and even before ordering your drinks, a real looker catches your eye. At the same time, your buddies begin to make mute sounds, each commanding the other’s attention. What could all the fuss be about? Both you and your buddies have caught the eye of the same woman!
Now what? What can separate you from the rest, you think. The art of reading body language will. Watch and study a while as your prized beauty starts to work her own kinda special magic. What is that you say? A woman’s body language speaks louder than words.
For starters, as you are watching her, she could be sending you signals. How would you know, you wonder? How do you make a play for this one beauty when you are sure that every other red-blooded male in the club must want her, as well?
There are tell tale signs straight off the bat:
As soon as you achieve eye contact, deliberately watch her for just a few, once she looks away. If she appears to be nervous at all or if she looks to be embarrassed by the eye contact, this means that she is interested in or attracted to you. She might fiddle and fidget here and there, this is a tell tale sign of interest.
Again, after making eye contact, look to her shoulders. If she has adjusted her seating and her shoulders are now facing you, again, she is showing definite interest. A woman, when she sees her own prize, will position her shoulders in the direction of what she covets. In effect, she points her shoulders at you. This is her body language way of her staking her claim. This tell tale sign should flatter you.
Taking this theme forward, if she points her shoulders at you and she also leans forward in your direction, she wants you.
At this stage in the game you could be introducing yourself. Offer her your hand and shake it carefully and with good intent. She should respond in kind. If her handshake is quick and strong, she is signaling you that she favors you and wishes to move on with the “getting to know you!” Take advantage of this opening and begin to make small, but interesting talk. |
